2010 is going to be a good year. If you want 2010 to be a great year take some time to evaluate what you accomplished in 2009. What new things did you learn, what struggles did you overcome, who made a difference in your life, what new activity did you try, and what are the top books you read making a difference within your mindset? After reflecting and recording it on paper (journaling the information) then look ahead to 2010.
What goals do you want to accomplish? Goals have to be SMART which is an acronym for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time sensitive. Click here for examples: SMART goal setting. There are many categories such as spiritual, family, work/job, personal fitness, AdvoCare business, hobby, and perhaps a few others you can add. Again write and journal this information.
Better yet get a recipe card or something similar and print the goals off and place them where you can see them on a daily basis. A few places that have helped motivate me is the visor of the vehicle you drive, the mirror in your bathroom, and also posting it right in front of the computer screen.
Another helpful hint is the old cliche’ a picture is worth a thousand words. If that is true and I believe it is get some pictures of things to motivate you towards your goals. I have a picture of my kids and also an old football card of former NFL star Larry Brown in my vehicle right now. Our family has always been the primary reason we sold out to the AdvoCare opportunity back in 1998. Larry Brown played for the NFL’s Washington Redskins as a running back and as a youngster I read a biography about him stating he always got up. No matter how bad it hurt or how injured he felt Brown got up off the ground and kept going.
In summary the best time to start is now. The future is now for you and your family. Have a blessed and prosperous 2010.
